About Jessica Arndt, LICSW
“What’s a strong body without a sound mind? The mind is like a muscle, the more you train it, the stronger it becomes. While the greats master the body, the greatest master the mind.” —Lebron James
Jessica graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2008 with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. She has 18 years experience working in the fields of mental health and addictions, over 10 of those years as a therapist for adults and families struggling with a variety of life challenges such as trauma, addiction, grief and loss, employment challenges, relationships problems, and physical health problems.
Clients can expect that Jessica is ready to process what they bring to session, but also to provide teaching concrete skills that clients feel they can use to ease suffering outside of sessions. In addition to her certification in Narrative Therapy, Jessica also has extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness and Mind/Body awareness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
She has particular interest and experience working with Veterans, victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, members of law enforcement and emergency responders as well as those struggling to manage substance use and their family members.
