Rachel Thelemann, MA, LMFT
“Owning our story and loving ourselves through the process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.”
— Brené Brown
Rachel believes that healing is an inward process. Through the process of being curious and empathetic, one can integrate and expand a sense of self. She believes we learn about ourselves through our relationships and understands the feelings that arise are an opportunity for growth. She is committed to teaching and facilitating communication skills that foster, strengthen and deepen relationships. She has explored many alternative healing and energy practices throughout her life.
Rachel draws on the interconnection of mind-body-spirit as a framework to help individuals strengthen self-awareness and gain clarity around challenging issues. She has a strong interest in working with relationship issues, parenting, divorce, blended families, life transitions, spirituality, trauma, anxiety, and somatic healing. Her therapy approach is collaborative, holistic, and creative based.
Rachel has a master’s degree in Human Development and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She has worked with children and families for over 10 years. She is certified in Brainspotting, trained in Reiki levels 1 & 2, art and healing, mindful practices and somatics. She loves to run, mountain bike, travel, and spending time with her family.
