Rose Caplan, Intern
Rose believes that therapy is about working collaboratively with clients to bring out their innate self-knowledge and ability to heal. She feels that when people are given room to be curious about themselves and their stories, they can find the power to shape their lives. Rose feels honored to have the chance to walk with clients in that process and to make their journeys easier. She enjoys working with clients with a diverse array of experiences, exploring the ways that gender, race, sexuality, ethnic background, and other identity intersections impact how we interact with the world. She has specific interest in providing neurodivergent- and LGBTQIA+ -affirming care. Rose believes that emotional pain and trauma sit not only in the mind, but in the body as well. She finds deep worth in somatic healing and nervous system regulation as part of the therapeutic process.
Rose has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Studio Art from Grinnell College, and is currently a masters student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at UW Stout. In her free time she enjoys any and all 2D art forms, cooking with friends, canoeing, and spending time with her cat
